Beirut, Je t’aime! • Kora @ Liza Music Room, June 20th 2025

«When the world fails, music speaks.»

The recording of my last visit in Beirut, Lebanon. Liza Music room is a music collective that started during the war, while bombs were falling, a group of friends were getting together to dance as a form of hope and revolution. The bass hiding the sounds of the bombs and the community as a way to raise the collective vibration.

I learned so much from my visit there: the love, the strength & the warmth of people was beyond anything possible.

I flew in just couple days after Iranian missiles were flying above the city like fireworks. Not without fear, I felt the calling to go play music more than ever and it ended up being one of the most memorable music weekends of my life. Two days in a row, we danced until sunrise to what felt like a big groovy family.

Gratitude to Dephdude for playing a beautiful set before me, as soon as walked in the room I felt the warmth and the love.

Fawaz, my brother from another lifetime. Thanks to you and Lima and the girls for the hospitality, the love and for treating me like family.

Ziad, Zeyad and everyone involved in Liza Music Room & Futo Mama - respect for creating spaces for people to dance during these times.

Roya my dear thank you for making it happen, you come with us next time.

Thanks to everyone who I had a chance to share a moment with during that adventure.

It's violent times for Iran, Lebanon, Palestine and many more parts of the West Asia region right now. Hearts & prayers to our friends, stay strong, courage and may we hope for the world to find harmony.

If this set bring you any sense of peace in the midst of chaos, I'll be grateful.
